‘An American Gold Finch’ offers a chance to work with a variety of stitches which can be used on many other canvases. Various specialty stitches are utilized within this piece in order to give the stitcher a broader experience. The Diagonal Weaving stitch is used, as well as, a variation of the Leaf stitch. This Intermediate class will teach a deeper understanding of compensation; however, a basic knowledge of compensation is required. Stitches used: Diagonal Weaving, Raised, Outline, Continental, Interlocking, Satin, Reverse Continental, Reverse Nobuko, and Leaf.
