Gilded Cabochons – Debbie Rowley
Description:
The ceiling at Union Station in Chicago inspired this design, worked in a monochromatic color scheme. The original project was stitched in ecru with flashes of gold.
This design is all about texture: 18 smooth satin stitch patterns with 13 textured patterns, surrounding 8 padded and stuffed stitches, Jessicas and a ridged spider web. We will investigate a variety of padded stitches as we work with several different threads in cotton, silk, rayon and metal. This elegant piece offers lots of interest for the intermediate or advanced stitcher.
Four colorways are available: Ecru, Blue Topaz with touches of pearly white, Pewter gray, Ruby with touches of gold.
The registration fee includes a printed instruction book (except for audit). An optional full kit is also available.
