Purpose: The purpose of this document is to inform members of the policies surrounding for-pay educational opportunities and special groups sponsored by CyberPointers.

Education Policies

groups.io: Separate subgroups will be set up for all education except chapter meeting programs. Those programs will be uploaded and discussed in the MeetingProgram subgroup, which is open to all members of CyberPointers.

Membership in ad hoc educational opportunity groups will be restricted in the following ways:

  1. You must be a paid member of CyberPointers both at the time of sign-up and at the time the educational opportunity begins.
  2. You may not join a for-pay group until you have paid. You will be invited by the moderator.
  3. You must give your full name and the email address you joined CyberPointers with in order to join the group.
  4. Groups for free educational opportunities, such as stitchalongs (SAL’s) and special interest groups (SIGs), are open to all members of CyberPointers.
  5. No Grouply allowed.

Payment:

  1. Payment must be received at the time you sign up for an educational opportunity. You are NOT enrolled until payment is received.
  2. If you pay after the posted deadline (with the exception of CPB instructions ordered through the end of the meeting dates), your payment will not be accepted.
  3. Payment may be via PayPal, check drawn on a US bank, cashier’s check drawn on a US bank, or money order.
  4. It is the member’s responsibility to sign up for the correct program, workshop, or event. If you fill out the form and pay for the wrong thing, CyberPointers has no duty to return your money or take you out of said opportunity. LOOK CAREFULLY and make sure you sign up for what you want to sign up for.
  5. Any individual who submits duplicate registrations for a fee‐based class or program will be subject to a refund processing fee. Registration Cancellation Fee is 10% of the registration fee with a cap of $10
  6. In the case a workshop or opportunity is cancelled, you have the option of a full refund or credit toward a later program.
  7. NO REFUNDS for classes that actually take place.

Shipping:

  1. Kits, charts, and other materials (with the exception of CPB instructions ordered through the end of the meeting dates) will be shipped at least 10 days US/ 2 weeks non-US prior to the start of the program, workshop, or other opportunity.
  2. If you do not receive your item by the time the program, workshop, or opportunity begins, it is YOUR responsibility to contact the Education VP to arrange for replacement.
  3. US shipments will be made via USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail as the need warrants.
  4. Shipments for international members will be made via USPS International First Class Mail or USPS Global Priority Mail as the need warrants.

No late payments or sign ups will be accepted.   All classes have a minimum registration of 10 students. The class will be cancelled if the minimum is not met.
