Tumbling Stripes – Marilyn Owen, led by Gretchen Janesak

Red, White & Blue
Mauve & Green
Coral and Silver

Description:  This appealing counted canvas design is great fun to stitch – no boredom allowed because each stripe in the section is a different stitch!

It would be a nice box top, framed piece, pillow or even a door hanger. There are four quadrants creating a tumbling block style appearance. This is created by turning the canvas to stitch each area so that your orientation to the chart always remains the same. The border instructions have an excellent way to lay and anchor long threads to be couched. The border corners are mitered, and those instructions are useful for this and other designs.

The chart includes a full master graph as well as a full quadrant graph to aid in stitching.

Stitches: Variety including cashmere and variations, woven, herringbone, Smyrna cross, slanted Gobelin and variations
