Alison Correspondence Course 2023

Alison – Merrilyn Heazlewood

Group Correspondence Course

Description:  You may like to try a new way of starting your design, Alison is ideal as a ‘start in the
middle’ design. Squares of stitching are then ‘built on’.

Two Australian threads bring subtle tones to Alison, Gumnut Yarns Blossom (100% wool) and Cottage Garden hand dyed variegated floss. These threads are complimented with DMC perle 5 and floss.

The French Knot Garden has a lot of flexibility around it. The foundation (stitched in soft mind green) is created with cross and tent stitches. You can follow the chart, or you have my permission to create your own foundation. You can also select the thread colours you will stitch the clusters of French Knots with. Delicate beads are intertwined into this Garden.

Long armed cross stitch is complimented with Scotch and Cashmere variations, cross stitch in two different counts and soothing sloping Gobelin. Alison is ideal to stitch up some of your stash of threads if you choose to buy the instructions and not the full kit.

Four colourways will be offered for students to select from.
