Description: The second design in Mary’s “America the Beautiful” series, Purple Mountains Majesty follows her first design in this series, Amber Waves of Grain, and showcases bargello mountains skirted with golden aspens and evergreens. The canvas design features five needlepoint stitches worked in Vineyard Silk, Pepper Pot Silk, Au Ver a Soie silk floss, and either Kreinik or Au Ver a Soie metallic braid. This series was designed for those looking to go beyond tent stitch in their canvas stitching adventures, but is satisfying for stitchers of any level to work.
