Description: Create this rural scene from the backroads of eastern North Carolina. Use thread blending to create interest in the sky and realism in the rustic barn’s boards. Participants will use a variety of overdyed cotton and wool threads, stranded embroidery cotton, and a touch of Bouclé to stitch this rural scene. Canvas stitches include Nobuko, upright cross, oblique Beaty, random satin and more. A few sharp needle techniques will be used to stitch the trees and couch the ivy.
