Earth Spiral – Terri Bay

Earth Spiral – Terri Bay

Description

Earth Spiral is a new twist on the teaching of Ukrainian whitework insertion stitches. The spiral, a narrow strip of diagonal rows of Ukrainian whitework, is wound into a spiral and joined using Ukrainian insertion stitches. The insertion stitches are traditionally used to join two pieces of fabric together, usually in clothing such as a sleeve to a bodice. This spiral is worked with the insertion from Sokal, a three step insertion. Some of the stitches included are pulled double cable, eyelet, mosaic, faggot, and satin.
