May Meeting Program

Description: 

Design classes from both Carolyn Mitchell and Gail Stafford inspired me to pull threads and play with stitches. The colorways are coordinated around an overdyed thread from my stash using a solid color, a sparkly thread, and a ribbon or other large thread – silks, cottons, or blended threads are fine. Adding beads is optional. I played with different stitches and so will you by selecting from various options diagrammed for you. It’s easy! Between your colors and your stitch selections, no two will be alike. These are small enough to stitch a band a day and could be made into a bookmark, a pouch, a cover for a needle book, or an ornament. We’ll talk about overdyed threads and design elements over 5 days. Now is your opportunity to play with your stash.
